Installing the LSA or LSX454 engine into your Hot Rod? Important fact -- The LSA, LSX454, LT1 and LT4 engines use the LSA designed crankshaft that has the 8-Bolt pattern on the flange for the flexplate or flywheel attachment! Your traditional 6-Bolt LS flexplate will not attach to this flange. This kit provides the correct spacer, bolts, and flexplate to attach the LSA 8-Bolt design crank flange to a NON-LS application automatic transmission; therefore if you have a TH400, TH350, 4L60, 4L80 or 4L85E automatic transmission from a traditional Small Block or Big Block Chevrolet application you will need this kit to properly attach your LSA, LSX454, LT1 or LT4 engine to that transmission.
