The 454HO utilizes a hydraulic roller camshaft to keep it very drivable and also to make sure the TQ curve is so broad that it's always there when you need it. Heavy breathing rectangular port cylinder heads top it off, with 2.19" intake valves and 1.88" exhaust valves.
