Genuine GM Parts 12736808 - LS2 Crankshaft

Nodular cast 3.622" stroke crankshaft assembly has 58x reluctor wheel installed. Used on 2006-2007 Corvettes. Balanced for 4.000" bore engines. A crankshaft is that massive piece of convoluted steel that holds the whole engine together. An engine is essentially a pump, and without a strong crankshaft, the pump won’t work. General Motors puts the same top-quality engineering and manufacturing processes into it's crankshafts as it does all its parts. These crankshafts are the same ones used in GM crate engines. The crankshafts are available in cast-iron and forged steel. Forged crankshafts should be used for higher-horsepower applications.
