Genuine GM Parts 12742396 - Cast Aluminum Valve Cover Big Block Chevrolet

These black finished GM valve cover were first introduced on the Medium Duty 1990 Kodiak's with the Big Block Chevy engines. Very popular for custom applications looking for a clean Factory style appearance under the hood. Fits all Big Block Chevrolet heads with the OEM valve cover bolt pattern. This cover has no provisions for an oil fill, see Part Number 12553667 for this same style cover with the oil fill. One hole for PCV or breather element. This is a 1.00" OD hole, we suggest the GM grommet #10198949 that is made for a 0.750" breather or PCV insert. Tech Notes This valve cover has NO provisions for rocker arm oil drippers Will clear most aluminum roller rocker arms using a low profile adjusting nut, we recommend Crower Part Number 86050S-16.
