This long block assembly is a replacement for your 2024 Mustang Dark Horse™ 5.0L and an upgrade for your 2024 Mustang GT 5.0L. The 2024 Mustang 5.0L DOHC 32-valve V-8 uses advanced features such as direct and port fuel injection, twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT), high-flow cylinder heads, dual throttle bodies and high compression to deliver 500 horsepower in the Dark Horse™. The lightweight plasma transferred wire arc spray aluminum cylinder block features cross-bolted main bearing caps, thick main bearing bulkheads for bottom-end strength, and optimized oil drainback and windage control to improve high-rpm performance. • 12.0:1 Compression ratio • Bore 93 mm x Stroke 92.7 mm • Hypereutectic aluminum pistons • Sintered steel connection rods • Forged steel crankshaft • Aluminum block that features plasma transferred wire arc spray weld liner coating • Longer, 12 mm head bolts for higher clamp load • 9.5 qt capacity steel oil pan ***NOTE: Driver side exhaust flange utilizes 5.2L bolt pattern*** The long block assembly does NOT include: • Intake manifold/throttle bodies • Fuel rails/fuel injectors • Water pump pulley • Alternator • Exhaust manifolds • Flywheel/flex plate • Engine wiring/PCM
